I’m going to laugh when this broken line of showers comes through and drops .01” on the south shore. I mean, I’m not a degreed met but I could easily forecast the lack of rain based solely off watching the weather here for 20 plus years. Just cancel the flood watch.

My main concern yesterday was the greatest instability was largely south.  Despite the fact we did get well into the 90s there was still indications that north of TTN less activity would develop

Exactly. Writing was on the wall. Other then the areas north of the sea breeze front that saw some heavier rain this is going to be a pretty big fail for the rest of us. May even go completely dry in spots.

Big cell east of Reading could hit parts of middlesex if it holds

It's a very close call for our area. The northern part of the line heading into Mercer and Hunterdon could brush northern Middlesex and maybe even Union if it holds together. 21z HRRR has it missing just a shade to my south with heavy rain going through central Middlesex and light amounts up here, but we'll see. I'm holding off on watering the vegetable garden, hoping we get a decent amount of rain. Wouldn't be a surprise if it's just a shower though.

It's very dark considering there's nothing imminent but yeah I think it will just be showers here unless that stuff take a.more northeasterly approach

Just heard that Con Edison intends to raise electric and gas prices.

PSEG raised the rates about 30%, but they made a deal with the state to "even out" the cost so there are no obvious peaks, hoping people don't notice as much.  What I don't understand is that PSEG doesn't even generate the electricity anymore, they are just in charge of transmission.  They sold the generation off to Parkway Generation about 2 years ago.

And won't open any new generation plants either but keep taxing the system with all these data centers being built.

Had a couple 30mph wind gusts and a couple rumbles of thunder, but yeah it's only light rain. Probably only gonna get a few hundreths to maybe a tenth out of this.
