I am about 6" shy of what I got all of last year, and it never snowed after 2/16 last year here, so I am hopeful we are at least going to surpass that, don't see surpassing 20-21 here, where I got 63"...gonna need one hell of a stretch to top that for the decade.

Our much better variant of the +PNA circulation mode nicely showing up in this 12z GFS for the  22nd - 28th.

Not so worried about the interference pattern embedded within from this range; it's more likely that one or two of these are real in lieu of this shit hits the fan look

That's 10.5" more than we had in the Maine foothills that winter.  Only need another 0.5" to match that ratter.  Odds look good.

I was watching a Boston channel for weather  on YouTube.  And they mentioned that Boston has yet to get over 50F this year.

Yeah, it's just a case of 'pareidolia', but I kind like the demon's head and face in that portent of the late-Februar weather patterns:

wow what a synchronicity, was just trying to think of that word as I always see patterns in tile and wood, but could not remember the name, was thinking Apophenia but I think that is perception delusion, anyway...if we can get this face to phase, we can be in bidness for a real deal, with some deepening bomb and winds with SN+

I don't even remember too many days in the 40s either, it's been cold, nothing outrageous but solid cold, good ice on the ponds for ice fishermen.

My only 40s was 42 on Jan 1.

Yeah we haven’t had many 40s. Will get some tomorrow though.
 

I have noticed  though night temps are starting to lose that deep winter drop. It’s coming.

I heard some birds chirping the past couple days that I haven't in a while. My maple trees have also doubled their production....nature knows

Definately no brutal cold in this stretch, but the lack of any big warmups has been mildly interesting here.
