Son has a game at 8pm. So tired of the frozen toes. Def been some chilly nights

Yeah thats what Ive been saying...I know people dont want 80 and Humid...but I would have liked a little more 70 degree and sunny days than theres been of late. But I know its how April can go but I feel like March was better...Looks like starting next week though we should see more consistent 70s

Weather station showing 33 at Deep Creek with a stiff NW wind.  Front pushed through around 5:30a there.  :wacko:

Whoa! Didn't think it would drop that much already, even up there!

I forgot that you were going to OC and had to go back a few posts to see how your wx was down there! Sounds like it was cool....but I'll take that at the beach (along with the good eats/drinks!) anyday.  :)

Currently, sustained winds are picking up quite a bit -- temp at 63. I need to get a decent wx station that records wind speed....

Yeah I just wish it was warmer on Saturday so we could have went to an outdoor restaurant on the water or even sat on the beach with a beer with the dog. Couldnt really do anything with the pup Saturday because it was just too cool to be outside for a sustained period of time. But oh well, thats the chance we took. Sunday was pleasant though in Berlin, we spent most of our day in downtown Berlin and at the Globe which is now owned by Burley Oak and has many of their beers. But whats weird was we couldnt take the dog to Burley Oak brewing facility but the staff at the globe allowed us too even though its owned by the same entity lol..whatevs

I thought I saw a few flurries on I-66 around Centreville with temps falling thru the 50's at around 12:30.

Windy

GAH. The house is creaking and moaning like an old hag with this wind, haven't heard it this bad in awhile...didn't expect the wind advisory after the frontal passage. Wanted to go on an extended walk after the front blew through and the sun returned, but with all of the maple spinners, oak catkins and God only knows how much airborne pollen out there forming/dissolving/re-forming into little allergenic tornados, that is out of the question.

That line blasted through here in a hurry. I was in Easton, but home now and some small tree debris all over. Might have been some small hail. The storm was warned.

0.32" in the rain gauge.

@MN Transplant @high risk

Check out the thunderstorms in eastern Indiana (IND radar) reaching ~20,000ft in height w/ a lot of lightning.

With the cold air aloft (500mb temps: ~ -35C/ 850mb temps: ~ -6C), steep low-level lapse rates and surface temps in the 40-45F range, I'd think a lot of that precip is in the form of graupel or snow. Pretty neat.

What I'd give to have that here...

We had something like that back in April 2019 or so?
