Looking like we have a shot with the radar trying to fire back up. If so we have a shot at 15”+ after all. Mid level warm air won’t kill that for us.

If this verifies Central Park has a legit run at a top 4 snowfall. The models predicted this to be a long storm, I think people got spooked when the earlier bands passed by and figured that was the end of it...

You can shave 2-4" off of that total as some has already fallen within that, but still good accums should come in...

Looks like the radar is filling in, there is some heavier bands in the Atlantic coming ashore.

Wantage NJ 4sw 3PM report. 12.5 total. SD 11.5. Packing-drifting. uneasy measure... certainly an inch hour + since 11A with max vsby 1/4MI small to medium  raining flakes! Love it. 25.2F and rising slowly. Walt Next report around 6P.

While rate of fall has lessened last 2 hours still mainly moderate snow ongoing at this hour.

Now it comes down to how banding evolves next 4-8 hours and into the overnight.

That deescalated quickly... hoping we get a pivot and some new bands to set up over the city to make a run at 20". Otherwise guessing we are sitting near 15" based on the 13.3" at CPK earlier.

Had no sleet here in N. Syosset. About 13.5 inches so far. Visibility is about 2 to perhaps 3 blocks tops.

First post reporting in from Hunter's Point. Bit of a lull the past 90 minutes (especially compared to this morning) but still coming down, wind steadily swirling. Beautiful out there and hoping for more!
