Well the mid Atlantic peeps are getting giddy, that’s usually not good for us! Maybe they can throw us a sleet pellet!? :(

But sleet pellets hurt..

This winter is going about as well as UNC's basketball season so far.

Brad Panovich just posted on Facebook that today marks the average first date of measurable snowfall for Charlotte.

There's something to hang your hat on!  :pimp:

Until you realize that tomorrow is the average last date of measurable snowfall. :bike:

Can't wait to see all the people in here after the cold keeps getting delayed a few days on the models

Love chasing 10 day cooldowns on the models, knowing we are 100% going to burn 10 more days of peak climo to get there, while also knowing that it will not be as cold as modeled AND the cold will definitely be delayed is a wonderful feeling! IF everything works out as modeled, we will have to burn 10 more days of peak Climo after burning the last month plus... Love winter in the South!

Used to be we would ban people who constantly posted day 10+ GFS images and/or whined when the OP showed nothing that far out.

Now if no one is posting the GFS at 240, no one is on this forum at all

Today is bottom temperature day in Greensboro.  Tomorrow the average high moves up a tenth of a degree and begins the march to July.

American Weather Forum: Cold and wet pattern showing up in 10 days on the models.

American Weather Forum 10 Days Later: Cold and wet pattern showing up in 10 days on the models.

We are all guilty of it, I admit as much. :+)

Days are noticeably longer too! Still dusk/twilight at or past 6 now. Sun angle really going to wreck our fantasy cold and snow!

I hate the GFS. Wish it only went out to 240 like the Canadian and Euro.

Simple fix. Don't look at it.
