  1. Coupled with the string of 200 hour fantasy storms we were teased with, I'd call your F- a generous grade on the curve.
  2. I have procured several old power poles. Neighbor has a sawmill. As soon as we can dry out a bit several raised beds are going in.
  3. Gone like a snowflake in a warm nose...
  4. I remember it well. Got stuck on a hill (1970 396 Chevelle) in north Raleigh going to pick my buddy up. Like you said "real cold "
  5. I will check back in on Wed. and see how this is working out.
  6. After this winter, I will believe it when I stick a yardstick in it.

  9. I have seen that happen a couple of times in Rolesville, It ain't pretty
  10. That set up installed less the tank will run 8500.00 installed. Well worth it if your county's grid is mostly above ground. We lose power at least twice a month in Chat Co.
  11. Was going to make the run to my sons place in Purcellville. Looks like he will get some ice with this as well so staying put.
  12. There were questions about Ned being in net today that were answered by a chart revealing the Panthers scoring is heavily dependent on rebounds. I was impressed.
  13. BTW, if you are interested. A couple of guys from the old Canes forum have migrated to the HF canes forum. Not bad disco in the GDT's
  14. Coming up on a working farm taught me some very powerful lessons. There's no one to call when things don't work. You figure it out and make changes for next time, and there will be a next time.
  15. We support one of the rescue farms here. I took her an orphaned fawn a few years back and got to know her and her staff. Saints all of them. And yes, people...
  16. A little more wind and they roll. That's freak'n Galveston Tx. FGS. They avg 5 days below 32 all winter long.
  17. Grandfather mountain said "hold my beer"
  18. https://www.wunderground.com/cat6/US-Snowfall-1900-2019-Decade-Decade-Look https://www.currentresults.com/Weather-Decades/USA/NC/Raleigh/temperature-average-by-decade-raleigh.php Getting warmer. Days at 32 or less per year per decade kinda says it all.
  19. I noticed that you taken a step back. Me as well. Hard to invest all the time only to miss out in the end. The payoff for this hobby used to be a lot better.
  20. Yepp, whether cyclical or something else it was a lot colder in the winter here.
  21. Hey, I hear that means...never mind.
  22. Been here all my life. I agree about the 80's and if you can believe it the 70's were even better. I remember being able to walk across small ponds on the ice on the way to school. I was a lot lighter then though...
  23. Since we can't get snow here anymore, I propose a chase get together somewhere where it does snow next year.
