Pretty surprised it's all snow based on models last night and this morning....I'm not complaining though

Looked like we'd be snow till around noon yesterday if stuff was falling?

Noon seems to be the consensus when we lose 850's that support all snow

my guess is that this "wing" of precip is a warm front-type feature so that once it passes, it's sleet/zr

It seemed more like just plain freezy rain in my hood but that's just raw text output...I'm sure other factors that I'm not smart enough to figure out were involved...anyway snow!! March snow!!

I think he was doing the curmudgeon thing.

DPs east of the foothills are cold and entrenched.

The elevated warm layer is a bigger factor than sun angle at this time and for hours to come.
