Guessing that 60 years ago, the ground would be slushy-white all the way to the NW fringes of the cities. Now we are too warm for a car-topper. So...brown wet ground and leafless trees.
Lol I've hardly posted the past few weeks but okay. Feel free to use ignore if you don't like my great insight
If bull c*** = accumulating snow, I'd be pouring $5 a gal. gas into the snowblower.

COD radar site shows this little snowblob means biz. Can confirm 1/2 mile visibility for 20 minutes. Primary roads here are white, no traffic at this moment. Still cranking at 6:54 am.
The 500 mb low slows down and deepens near Charlottesville. If it slows enough the front end snow could be a quick heavy 3 to 6 followed by 12 hours of rain.
Operational GFS is typical of warm-wet pattern. Front end 3-6hrs snow and then the system rides the Bay with everybody-to rain for all of the sub-forum.
"The Sync" isn't working for mid-lantic
I give this winter a B-/B for weeks of snow on lawns and multiple swowblower uses. A quick look of GFS snowpack
for the next 16 days is tawdry, accums being 100s of miles from here. No need to give up but assume 5% to 15% mayyy...be.
Time to plan for the start of hothouse seedlings.
