I have about 6"+ or so, was just on the edge of the good stuff early this morning, blowing around pretty good, happy with what I got seeing how things looked yesterday. I'm interested to see what BOX goes with for the w.e. total. Yeah ratios were definitely high, but my guess is a lot of areas will probably have >.75" LE easily. The euro was definitely low with that 0.50" east of BOS, but IMO the runs getting 0.75" to BOS weren't that far off. I think it was the 00z RGEM that really started ramping it up for E MA last night. Despite it not verifying that well in the end, I have to give the UKMET credit for being the first to sniff out that western areas would be out of the game. I remember I think it was it's 12z run on Thursday that cut amounts to nearly nothing for western areas while all other models were still game on for warning snows pretty far west and it was universally tossed, but it turned out to be more right than not there. Like, models were maybe 15-20 miles off and we know how the banding tends to setup a bit west of what models have. That 700mb back bent front we talked about was key, but this wasn't all 700. East port was given feet and feet and ummm......this was a difficult storm Love how they just interviewed (TWC) a guy in Portland who traveled there to see the blizzard, he was upset at the lack of snow and said he traveled their FOR IT, and will go back south and try to catch OCTAVIA , what a weenie!
