February 9-10: T
February 12: T
February 14: T
February 16-17: 5" (based on local reports compared to poor measuring practices on my part)

Total: 12.25"

That's a lot of "events" for that little return.

I measure in .25" increments and round up or down as necessary.  I'm not into parsing even smaller amounts, so oftentimes the Traces could have been .25" by those standards, but sometimes those are just brief sleet or flurry action.

3.2" for 16.7" on the season.  Looks like we are all within shooting distance of that elusive target:  the "normal" winter.

I'm still less than 50% climo.  Unless we get a big event, I have no chance.

I don't really keep track of traces anymore and I round totals to the nearest half-inch:

1/14: 0.5"

1/27: 1"

2/12: no accumulation, but heavy snow fell

2/14: ~1" (combined from both morning and evening bursts)

2/16-17: 7"

So that puts me at about 9.5" for the season. This town averages about 18-19 inches from what I've read.

We're about 6" short of climo. . Lame forgettable winter thus far. No exciting events except for the squall line, and the clipper was the only event close to 4".

My total seems kinda high. Any event I may have slant-sticked?

You are higher than me in every single event except for this past Saturday (where I matched your total). Where and how exactly are you measuring?

I'm in the 270 triangle, on the NE side. I usually measure on a bench in my front yard and also check the pavement if it's a cold storm to corroborate. If it's a warm storm and a lot melted on the pavement I measure on the car tops.

What was your total last year, btw?
