It's 5th for me, but I am within striking distance of 04-05 and 05-06.  I passed 06-07 today.

EDIT - I guess you aren't counting 04-05 since that would make 11 if including this winter.  So 4th for me.

Yup, 10 including this winter. This winter so far just barely beats out my 05/06 total, but they're not even comparable in quality, making it a solid third for me. I know you were out of town anyway, but I really wish the Valentine's Day squall had delivered in downtown DC too-- adding a couple of inches to your total and being the memorable kick-off to the impressive two-weeks we've had. The roads were as bad from ice (solid sheets) as I've ever seen the next morning.

This is what I currently have for AmWx members

Listed is everyone who gave me totals last year

If you are highlighted in Yellow, I need a lat/long

let me know if you see anything that needs to be fixed/updated!

I haven't really been keeping track this year so if I posted a seasonal total it would in all likelihood be wrong.

But great job keeping track of all this and turning into maps! Looking forward to the final product.

The morning of 2/12/06 was some of the most consistently heavy snow I have seen in my life.  I stayed up all night.  I wish I had kept better incremental totals along the way (I got 11" total), but I think I picked up around 7" in 3 hours at one point with thunder.  That was special, but as you know that winter was awful outside of that one event and the 2 decent Dec events (12/5, 12/9 - which flipped).

I'm glad I was in Davis since I got to experience virtually identical conditions to Moco county when the squall came through.  I might have been a little pissed had I missed a special event IMBY.  As it stands I'm pretty sure I got no more than 0.1 or 0.2 so it worked out perfectly in that sense.  Still has been a great couple weeks.  Even the 2 other squalls were cool even if they were only 0.1" events for me.

is that your backyard, or the airport?

My backyard because the airport doesn't have an official observer and they don't even seem to care about it. haha. My reports have been given to the NWS and they put it on their PNS statements even though it isn't 'official.' Gotta work with what I have I suppose.

Yeah, I noticed the airport was only reporting a T for the winter. Let me know your lat/long, I'll use your total on my map.

This winter has been really good. Even though last season brought over 2ft more, this winter is right up there with it. This February actually topped last February. Some Feb. stats for MBY below-

1) I believe it's pushing 3 consecutive weeks of ice coverage on the inlet, which is longer than any period last winter.

2) The 2/14 squall was incredible. 1.7" in 1 hour with visibility about 50 yards when the wind hit.

3) Peak snow depth occurred on 2/21, with 9-10" OTG.

4) Snow cover for 14 consecutive days tomorrow.

5) Back-to-back highs in the teens, which is very rare.

6) Over 14" of snow for the month.
