jm1220
Forky will never be banned from this place. He's been a storm mode mod before. He isn't going anywhere.
SRRTA22
I'm not upset in the slightest of this miss and the past miss. Our time came and went. It was a very different winter and it would be in my personal top 5. Cant wait for severe weather season (if we have one lol)
forkyfork
I don't want to make a blanket statement because I don't read his every post, but what I've seen here is for the most part not actionable despite the chorus of cries for his banning that seems to follow so many of his posts. It is my perception that there is a certain mob mentality prevailing. it's not as cathartic to hurl rocks at the sky
forkyfork
I'm not outraged at all... he can do what he wants. I don't want him banned, I generally like his contributions. I just think his pathway to an avatar is pretty twisted and I found his false deference to the woman offensive. He's always been an odd bird, but this is crazy deep end stuff. all i do is make up a name and google image search it. i didn't even know it was from an obituary
Allsnow
It's funny how the board makes members change avatars that have women in sexy clothes, yet mocking of a women who died is approved.

And then to say that was your Grandmother......

IsentropicLift
It wasn't a waste at all. I enjoyed every minute of tracking it. Besides, what else is their to discuss on a weather board?
NorthShoreWx
I wasn't sure whether I believed it, so I did a google image search for Eunice Jackson. It was just a name that popped into my head because it had the same cadence as Beatrice Wilson. Sure enough there are about 50 photos there that look like they could have been Forky's avatar at one time, but my favorite was this: For the record, I have no idea of the status of Eunice's health nor am I mocking her, but you must admit, that is a memorable image. That's the difference between weenies and true weather enthusiasts. The weenies want highly irrational and highly unlikely snow bombs in their backyard while the enthusiasts and some mets actually take the time to appreciate and be in awe at such a powerful and highly anomalous storm. Yanksfan
In my 30 years of being a winter weather weenie, this month is by far the most aggravating as far as missed snow opportunities. a lot of late night tracking for nothing! Bring on spring, let me regroup, and I'll be back on the saddle come next December.

Yanksfan
With a predicted el Nino slated for next season, that will bode well for us as long as its not too strong. A weak to moderate one would suit me just fine. Lot's of juiced up storm chances. Couple that with some blocking, and we'll be in business! It's a double edge sword. Yes I'm looking at some of the forecast over the open seas thinking "wow, 100 knt winds and a -6 Standard deviation pressure with a non tropical system". And at the same time part of me feels like my team just lost the Super Bowl on a field goal going "wide right". Great season yes, but we just missed on the "big one"
nyblizz44
For several days now this has been a Hail Mary nothing more and nothing less. Your chances of a Hail Mary are less than one percent. We gotta live with it and admire the storm and congratulate the winners 2 our South & North

Great season, but I often wonder what could of been with this storm if it took an optimum track for us. My guess is that it would of been a DC to Boston blizzard with snow amounts of 1 to 3 feet from south to north.

Sickman
This could have been an epic blizzard for us. Payback for march 2001.You didn't want it enough. It wanted to listen to you, and shift west, but you didn't believe hard enough. It's missing us to the east, and it's all your fault.I hope you can sleep at night, denying all of us of our snow.
