...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM EST MONDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BALTIMORE MD/WASHINGTON HAS

ISSUED A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR SNOW SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN...WHICH

IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM EST MONDAY. THE WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY

IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* PRECIPITATION TYPE...SNOW AND SLEET WILL CHANGE TO FREEZING

  RAIN AND THEN TO RAIN.

* ACCUMULATIONS...5 TO 7 INCHES OF SNOW AND SLEET FOLLOWED BY UP TO

  TWO TENTHS OF AN INCH OF ICE.

 

Always good news when LWX has to scramble.

With ore just blossoming in far NW MoCo.  It's gone from moderate to heavy in 2 minutes flat here in Clarksburg.  Visibility is maybe 1/8 mi.  Wow, best since the Jan 2011 ULL.  Temp and DP are both 22.7F.

Heavy snow here now with huge cotton ball flakes. I just measured 3".

Heaviest of the day right now. Temp dipped below 23.

Not sure if reading all your obs is making it better or worse for me...the fact that its bone dry up here is great news for you I think...means the cold dry air is really fighting back and and also probably increasing the convergence in your area.
