  1. Past hour
  2. Spring is the worst season for northeast weenies. Snow chances are done and you don’t really get frequent severe chances until mid to late June. Fall sucks too but at least there can be hurricanes to track.
  3. 0.05" so far today. Gotta hope for a storm or two overnight.
  4. Picked up 0.20" today. Some sunshine peeking through now.
  5. This weather has been so boring lately. We need a severe threat. I’d take a solid rain storm though
  6. My apologies for the late reply! That Jan 2016 event had an insane cutoff up here. I finished w/ 2" so that revised map is pretty spot on. Areas 5 miles or so to my south in Warwick received 6-10". BTW amazing job w/ these maps! They are much appreciated
  7. Got a nice downpour in CLT just a bit ago and now the sun is back out. Maybe that'll add some instability and get some heavier storms this evening and keep the rain flowing.
  8. Its a B up this way Long lasting snowpack and consistent cold. Average snowfall & completely missed out on the Feb event
  9. Even though it's a Saturday I'll gladly take it since we need the rain.
  10. Today
  11. Currently 45° off a midnight high of 55°. .80 of rain too. It's one of those special New England spring days.
  12. This dry period to me is very interesting with its sudden onset and persistence, going on 21 months now... Station showing a 25" deficit during that period.
  13. You’re only 20 minutes away. We’ll have to link up. I’m over in the zoo all the time.
  14. 5.3" here total, was in a bit of a hole from mid evening through about 6 AM, but not complaining- no damage to trees and minimal to shrubs. Not nearly as much as 2022 where the chain saws were busy in the neighborhood for several days. I'll take it.
  15. While the early evening convection will be scattered, HRRR trends favor more widespread coverage towards midnight.
  16. Seems a lot like the VTrans stations already out there?
  17. I'm totally fine with that! Just happy to get one more snowy day in after a terrible winter, and a bunch of drought-fighting moisture. The green up over the next week should be epic.
  18. 66 down to 59 with the onset of the rain. Wet.
  19. Unless we're going to suddenly spike into the 80s, a severe threat here just isn't happening. It doesn't help that storms at peak heating will be isolated, while convection will become more widespread after dark when we start to cool. I'd be thrilled to just hear thunder.
  20. Hate it has to be like this but yea, the CAMs are less than enthusiastic about rain north of I-85. I hope they’re wrong but drought breeds drought. I’m happy for folks in SC and Georgia though. They need it just as bad as we do in NC.
  21. Should be seeing some instability showing up.
  22. (Unfortunately) Mine is growing just fine and the weeds are doing even better! A little bit every few days is all it takes. Too bad it doesn't do squat for the drought...
  23. We've had breaks in the clouds this afternoon and humidity and temperatures have risen by 15 degrees.
