Dropped from 84 to 70 here.    Here's to this being the last day of 80+ this year!

[mitchnick]

Crushing now, but it's a thin line moving fast, so the western horizon is brightening fast.

The promise to Noah.

I was getting concerned that Frederick might actually miss a thunderstorm this season. Nope. Nailed as usual lol

[Weather Will]

Actually missed SW Frederick county....

[aldie 22]

Windy and a few spits of rain. The heavy stuff developing literally just to my east. Temp down to 70

[Mrs.J]

Ok wow that Southern part of the line blew up! Nothing here but I advised a friend South of me to put her horses out. Only to check radar and see the line explode over her house. She is still in a downpour with soaked horses.

Found the end of the storm line

[Mrs.J]

For those always saying Frederick gets the storms. Not all parts of Frederick gets the storms. I have been sitting on this edge for 20 min.

[katabatic]

Temps dropped almost 20 degrees to 55 now. Had a few gusty showers dropping 0.18" but nothing even close to severe.

[kgottwald]

Temps plunging at IAD, but still warm and muggy at Solace on the Anacostia riverfront, with nasty-looking clouds building to the NW.

Does anyone have a good link for estimated QPF fallen?

[WxUSAF]

A bit more than 0.4” so far. More than I figured there would be.

[EastCoast NPZ]

What a joke.  87 / 74 today and not a drop of rain.

[kgottwald]

Still early-September (in the days of my youth) temps and dewpoints. No sign of real fall air so far.

Yeah, got about 1 minute of rain and big winds around 5, a little north of you.  Disappointing.  Was hoping for a big storm.

[WEATHER53]

Seemed like I would get it around 7 but held up and 8:15 wham with 15 minutes heavy and .25” gust to 35 and 5 impressive but not close thunders

[Interstate]

good thing my baseball tournament is not south and east of Baltimore

[Chinook]

The high temperature of 87 at Martinsburg, West Virginia broke the daily record. It had a high 87, a low of 59, and an average temperature of 73, which was 18 degrees above average. The high was only 82 at Washington-Dulles, which is not that far away.
