I learned to love Nina. They bring much better winters to my area in the lowlands. Starting this winter I'll be on the Tug Hill where Nina demolish the region. I think of frozen ponds, a light snowpack, deep blue sky, cold temps when I think Nina. When I think of Nino I think of mud, extended cloudy periods, 80 on Christmas, lots of rain, snow that melts the day after. Drizzly

Not sure if it was just this morning drizzle or also the rain yesterday and Friday. They also don’t try too hard for fall baseball I’ve learned. Drizzly Yeah it seems like in SoMD pretty much everything is better in a nina other than drought. I still miss a good noreaster even if it if mostly white rain. But not this never ending gloom shit.

It honestly can be a little dangerous for hitters if the pitchers aren’t confident/experienced because wet baseballs are incredibly slippery. Misty/drizzly all day here with around 1.25” since Friday. Great weekend to make chicken stock, apricot jalapeño pepper jelly, and pickled jalapeños!

I coach travel baseball at Christmas Tree Park in Manchester and luckily we get games in based on how the coaches take care of the fields. Much better than county run fields where they close for the chance of rain lol. We played a double header this morning no problem.

Can’t wait! After 10 days in Vt/NH/Maine and with frost Sunday morning when we started heading south, I am looking forward to mid-Atlantic “heat”.
