The NAM says what rain today or tonight for DC and east. The storm to the west just goes north and hits the same ole flooded areas of NY.

Light rain at the little Bennett trailhead (biked a different loop this time). Perfectly timed…started to rain right at the last stretch. Humidity is thick…the atmosphere no longer wants this area to be in a drought.

I think you are correct on that. This is nothing like the past two summers here. I am happy for this nice steady rain coming in as we put down lawn patch yesterday in hopes that this rain would pan out.

Yea I haven’t noticed any real browning of grass here. Very green summer overall, especially when compared to the tumbleweed summers we’ve had recently.

Well ours is from a FiberOptics company digging trenches in our yard in January to lay cable. And then just dumping the clay they dig up putting seed and straw down as if that would grow back. It was a neighborhood wide project and they chose for whatever reason not to use the easement.

torrential rains there for a bit in upper NW - seems like more stuff developing from the south.

Yeah I was driving through it on 16th street. That was a mess. Tons of standing and flowing water on the road.
