This is easily top 2 most prolific lightning producing storms I’ve seen in my decade living in LI, possibly number 1. Frequent CTG’s in all directions and surround sound thunder. This was so random.

Wow, INSANE storm. The sound of hail pounding against the house was something else. Some of the hail was dime sized. I ran outside to get some to put in the freezer. We got 1 inch of rain in a very short period of time. A bunch of very close lightning strikes. 60 to 70 mph wind gusts which I'm sure caused quite a bit of damage. When I was outside I could hear lots of sirens all around. 

We had a couple power hits here but both times the power came back on very quickly. Thankful to have power. My internet was out for awhile which is why it took me this long to respond to you. Even now it's very slow. I'm glad to hear that you have power. That was one heck of a storm.

Yeah managed to keep power this time but alot of trees and power lines down.  It's crazy how it blew up right over us and became the main line

Good storm. Lotsa boomers, good light show, a quick inch of rain without much wind. The dog shook herself to sleep under the bed

Kinda skipped around my West shore station with 0.18". More intense mid island with 0.50" rain and booming thunder. High of 95° today.
