With yesterday's 91° high, 2026 has become only the fifth year on record for Central Park with highs of 90° or above in April, May, June, July, and August. The other years are 1896, 1962, 1991, and 2010. It is the only year that also included a high of 80° or above in March followed by the 90s in April through August. Records go back to 1869.

Interesting that they have the yellow this far east, because the models are showing very little activity for New Jersey today. Unlike yesterday when it was widespread, anything today would be very isolated. I'm having a cookout today and hoping it stays dry. I've loved all the storms in recent weeks, but we've had enough and can use a drying out period.
