0.09" for the beginning of our drought buster. 1.25" so far for the month. Turned into a nice afternoon/evening albeit a bit humid (DPs ~65).

0.72" in my part of Frederick this afternoon.  "only" a 21 MPH gust on my station, but it's 5 feet off the ground and between two rows of townhouses.  But judging from the rain blowing along the roofs I'd say more like 30+ sustained for some periods.  Looks like power lines down west of me along route 85 from FB reports.

Was out west of Leesburg this afternoon when the first round hit.  When the rn started the first 30 seconds of precip were massive globules of water.  If they had been snowflakes they would have been hang gliders - not just mere parachutes.

       Yes!   CAMs have been in overall good agreement that multiple rounds of convection move across the area overnight, except for southern MD.    Then more heavy showers erupt tomorrow around midday and gradually sink to the southeast.

Looking at WXUnderground your station is directly North of mine. If I remember correctly that you moved off of Jefferson Pike. Will be interesting to see the difference between the elevations.

Still have 1000+ CAPE for the immediate suburbs to help wring out the now moist atmosphere. As long as we can buy some forcing we should be able to rain. Hopefully the front sags south to help out the people who got skunked earlier.

Thundered a few times tonight but no rain so far.

Most/all rain sitting just north of silver spring since the 4pm hour. We got some showers then. Didn't amount to much. But just a few miles away looks soaked

Yeah, I'm about 100 feet higher at new location, a little north and west of you.  Basically where 70, 270 and 15/340 meet.  Like 410' vs 325' over off English Muffin.  I think bigger thing is I'm closer to the Catoctin Ridge, which might have me in a little rain shadow for some events.
