Presidents' day Snow potential

From the lack of observations I'm guessing this was one of those rare south shore specials?  2.5" (maybe slightly more) on grassy surfaces.  1.5 on the sidewalk.  Clung to everything too.  While there's definitely pavement showing on my side street, it's a bit of a snowy/slushy mess.  Will enjoy the look before it's gone by this afternoon.  Nice little event here.

Picked up .7" last night

Pretty view of the pond across the street from us, as the fairly wet snow clung nicely to the trees, although some was knocked off by the wind.  Also, as an fyi, I measured again, just to check compression, and I now have 1.25" on the existing snow vs. 1.5" about 4 hours ago when the snow was over, so I had about 17% compaction, which is fairly typical in my experience.  It certainly wasn't melting, as the sun just came up and it's 29F now vs. 31F at 3:30 am.  Always being awake and measuring the snow right at the end, when that's in the middle of the night is certainly the main reason I often have slightly higher numbers than those near me who wait until morning.

They got 1.1” most of the stations got around 1”. The park now with 22.3” on the season

Average of five snowboards - 1.1".  
Low of 32 F.
Pavement accumulations were 3/4 inch on the north side of my house (sun does not shine on the pavement there in the winter), to Trace/Bare on the south side.

I'm almost always warmer than Metuchen. I'm in a micro-climate near the Raritan Bay.
Colder here during spring BDCFs, though. lol

ps - The pond on the south end of town? If so, we almost bought a house near this pond 25 years ago, but the asking price was too high.

Solid little event in Lindenhurst, measured just barely under an 2 inches (about 1.9" or so i'd say) with the ruler at around 5:30 am
