OBS: 1/25-26 Snow/Sleet

What's the coldest everyone remembers getting sleet and not snow? Today it was 14° here.

10° and sleet now. First guess is 1994.

Some sign the sleet line is retreating a bit in N NJ. Hopefully that translates east.

Yep. UES (I’m in the east 70s) flipped around 1:45-2 pm. Sleetfest now, and 7-8 of snow sounds completely accurate to me.

Cleared the board when it flipped to sleet so I don't measure with compaction, and I've added about 0.4" of sleet/snow since to put us over 10".

Looks like that mid-level warm nose that progged to enter NNJ and then collapse and washout to the SE is beginning to do so on CC.

flakes have definitely got more “wet” mixing line is just S of me.

I’m hopeful the rates wash me back to all snow. Very fine flakes; not hearing much of a ping at the moment. SW Morris County.
