I think some of these brighter returns are snowflakes melting. The deeper reflectivity seems to coincide with the CC drops.

I was actually gonna bike, but thought I’m about to get poured on, so I decided to clean instead. So far, the rain is definitely lighter than the returns would imply.

0.13" at 7 am CoCoRaHS report time and 49.3/49.0 with light rain and fog. Hoping for a lot more! Maybe another 3-4 hundredths since.

It has soared to 50.2/49.6 at 11:45 am with rain and fog. Eyeballing the gauge looks like another .25-.33 has fallen. Time to refire the woodstove, it got a break with the mid 50's temps last few days, but that will be long gone by this time tomorrow.

Radar looks great. It's nice to see actual moisture. Not the usual moisture starved last minute rug pull we're so use to.

Phenomenal precip event here and it’s nudged me to have a solidly productive morning. The only snag is that this would have been an easy warning level snowstorm if temps were 10-15 degrees colder…which is a lot, I suppose lol.

Enjoying today , solid soaking rainfall...Been awhile since I could ride around for work in a steady rain..Dont mind being out in it and getting drenched either..It's not snow but I have always loved a rainy day or rainy night...
