Interesting convo @ su casa for sure. Kinda like mine...a husband from Ecuador who now works at Wisp...as a ski lift operator. I can't make this shit up. His then 76 year old Mom was here last November when I got a foot - she never saw falling snow until then. It was fabulous watching her be just like a little kid. Altho I just can't understand why he didn't want to go tubing today lol.

VDay 2014 was one of my faves iirc. There was a lull before the ULL pass and it dropped another 3.5" of high ratio/big dendrites on top of a foot or so. It was already a snowy winter but we hadn't had a big storm up until that point.

Nice!  His family and mine think I'm a nut because of my weather addiction.  They cannot fathom why'd I'd be absolutely sick and miserable if I missed a storm.  He knows me well and already warned me about getting "sick" and cancelling if a snowstorm is approaching.

I know it's and op run post 300 hrs, but the 12z GFS at the end of its run pumps a massive -NAO and sizeable MA/NE trough around 12/30.

13-14 was the only year in my 25 rockville tracking years where i was honestly seriously tired of it by the end. Last couple march events felt like a chore. And here we are... where I'd trade a kid to experience it again hahahah

Good winter but that storm sucked here. 4-5 inches of snow then changed to rain in a heartbeat. A mini version of March 93. Amped storms that hug the coast/track just inland, esp with no blocking, never work out over here.

Thinking 24-25 was the start of a better set of winters. Even though the storm kinda sucked for where I live (and even worse in DC, IAD, etc.), it's not often to see an inch of glacier in mid-December.
