WPC seems to have cut back rainfall of total significantly with their latest afternoon update in the 7-Day. Haven't had a chance to look at the models. Do the models concur with less rainfall for our area?

Over the last two days total model precipitation forecasts have decreased for the work week.  Looks like Th. May be the wettest day.  I will still be happy if I get what the WB 18Z NBM is putting out through Friday (which includes what we are getting this afternoon),

To my nonexpert eye, two things:  one is that the path of the low is tracking further NW; secondly, its trailing front looks like it will be more progressive so that any lingering moisture or waves will stay well east/south of DMV late week/weekend.

Edit:  18Z EURO and Euro AI ensembles are bringing moisture up the coast Sunday/Monday with possible tropical system.

0.01 in a late afternoon shower. Quite humid, DP was 73. down to 72/70.

If there is going to be a period of more widespread showers, it looks to be very early Thursday.    Otherwise, there will be some big winners with the scattered convection each day (especially Thursday), but it doesn't look to be particularly widespread.

Only 0.07" in gauge this morning, sure seemed like more, we had about 4 separate periods when it rained. Quite muggy and foggy outside. Low was 60.0, which although warm did not break the 63.8 degree 'warm minimum' set just last year.

Well, I guess this is good weather to get work done. Interesting to see DeepMind mentioned in the LWX disco. Neural nets and GenAI are legit…those computing resources, though.
