I wonder if actually clears today. As of right now it's pretty socked in and still raining here. Probably another dreary day. Does anyone know what's going on with the personal rainstorm in AA County? It's clear to the east and west but socked in with rain and drizzle here. Pretty good shot of the inversion that’s so common this time of the year. About 40 this morning but area hills are aoa 50.

A perfect light soaking rain last night. Just enough to reprieve the short root grasses and alleviate tree leave stress. The farmers... are not happy, too little for a proper late season growth spurt, and just enough to make everything that has reached maturity damp.

Many forecasts of mostly sunny, or even just sunny, over the past three months have ended up the opposite, sometimes the clearing was  delayed until sunset.

I have a feeling that's the case again for today. Wait for cool dry air in this area is like watching paint dry while it's drizzling.

Is it raining anywhere or is my RadarScope just in ultra high sensitivity mode?

 .08" total the first 12 days of Sept. is .05% of the normal of 1.68".

Lanternflies must have amazing radar reflective properties. When the cicadas did this, you’d see hordes flying around. Certainly there are lots of lanternflies, but nothing like the cicadas…at least where I travel and live.

If you want to see a lot of them, look for the also invasive Tree of Heaven. They love those suckers (pun intended).

I have to assume the cicadas didn’t get high enough, being fat and clumsy.  Not sure how high the lantern flies can go, but it seems to be high enough.

Yeah maybe although lanternflies don’t exactly fly gracefully to my eye lol

Altho they do fly strategically - they are impressively hard to stomp

Looking to do more power today than yesterday. Threw in last year to compare. And this is with one Micro Inverter not reporting. New one is on its way.

Today's best forecast goes to AccuWeather for my zone calling for increasing clouds in the afternoon versus the national weather service with totally sunny conditions. 

Clouds have moved in currently in the from Trenton to Philly to Wilmington, Delaware. Moving from Northeast to Southwest.
