Steady rain continues. 76 degrees and 2.13 inches at this point.  Yard is a soggy, green mess. Much different from last couple of summers.  Wonder if we are setting ourselves up for an historic  tropical flood event at some point this season.

We have a Winnah!

A bunch of consecutive HRRR runs have another round of convection overspreading the area towards dawn.   The NAM Nest has a similar idea, although it's weaker with that batch and then a bit heavier with some mid-morning showers.

I've also heard various media forecasts promoting drier air for Wednesday afternoon, but a clear majority of guidance (minus the always overmixed GFS) keeps our dew points around 70 through Wednesday evening and doesn't really bring in the drier air until early Thursday.  And several models show isolated convection just ahead of the front Wednesday evening.

I’ll take any rain overnight, but can you arrange for lower dews tomorrow afternoon and evening? Thanks in advance.

Dover radar effed up again. I was looking at it this morning when it was pouring here and it had nothing over me- it was depicting reflectivity from sometime earlier.

Noticed that two days ago. I had to go to the next radar site to the West.  Always seems to be an issue.

.75 here last 24 hours but those two areas to my SW and South have scored with over 1.50 and 2 inches. Bethany Beach with over 4.9 inches of rain this week. Will add to that today and the final push of convection moves East and then offshore.

Finally back and  late  to party but I was scared for first time in many years as events unfolded on Route 32 around 3pm I don’t even want to recount it so let me read the discussions

Insanity on 32 near  Ft Meade yesterday at 3.  Sky green and had Midwest tornado look to it, rotating clouds, swirling blinding rain, had to slow to 10 mph , strange noises, easily 50mph winds with higher gusts. After about 10 minutes it eased  up but that’s as bad as I’ve  driven in in 30 years

I was probably right behind you. It got wild when the whiteout of wind driven rain hit. It looked blue outside due to the extreme rainfall. It definitely gave me hurricane chase video vibes. The lightning was also wild.
