8 hours of continuous snowfall with temps below freezing and the sidewalks are finally covered ! Driveway looks like it may cave next.   1.2” on the snow board.  27°.

I'm eyeballing 1.5".  It's not worth going out to measure.  It's pathetic.  It's snowed here since noon.  10 hours, and not even 2 inches.

Yeah no way I'm getting to 3" ...

I have snow on the ground, so hard to be upset, but the forecast did bust here.

We might get a couple more inches simply through consistency.  Nam keeps some precip around in the northern tier into the morning...tbd on that, but could end up stat padding the totals a bit.

While it’s mostly smaller flakes with a few densities mixed in, man is it pouring snow.

I know this is rich given my relative wealth today but it’s been annoying seeing the yellows and dark greens get stuck in the same spot just south for the past 2 hours or so. Maybe making a little progress now

During storms, I don’t look at radar. I don’t want to know when the back edge is approaching nor do I want to know if nearby bands aren’t approaching. Just like to enjoy what falls :mapsnow:

Can feel you on this it seems like the really good banding down near Burke just never could make it up another 5-10 miles to my backyard. Can’t complain too much either way considering how areas further north are doing…

We knew there'd be a sharp cutoff, but it was modeled to be more N/S. In reality it's been far more NE/SW. Loudon's basically the same latitude as DC yet they're all reporting a bust whereas we're already well into the 4-8" forecast range.

I just measured 4.5", and it's snowing quite steadily. Ratios seem like they may be less than 10:1 so definitely not a bust here.
