Surprisingly lost only a few of my parent's bamboo stalks (big swath of it between the neighbors and their house). Still no sign on the snow here - light freezing rain persisting. No pingers that I can hear either.

Definitely seems like north of the Potomac and then north of US50 might be your best shot at seeing more wintry weather today. And ideally the further NE the better (of course).

Been seeing this radar loop, but nothing actually falling from the sky in Linthicum (just north of BWI).

Only a matter of time before we all flip to snow. Probably around noon.

Not in the immediate metro. We will get the pity flurries as every pulls out. Missing storms and cold rain is just embedded in our DNA here.

I’ll say this much, what failed as far as snow was made up for in ice. It’s icy on some side streets and walks.

We're pretty crusty around here, but nothing like some of the pictures others are posting - we just have iciness on top of snow.

the 850 line starts to sag southeast again around midday per the nam.  the soundings show a little warm layer there as well.  can also see on radar how it's spotty when normally snow gives better returns.  hopefully we can switch back by early afternoon because radar doesn't look that bad, esp further northeast towards the m/d line.

So if I'm understanding correctly now the upper levels are cooling but the surface is warming. So heavier precip should fall in the form of sleet or eventually snow?

as long as that 850 layer stays +1 or above, your precip will be sleet unless it falls fast enough to cool the column. so far that's not happening.

This forum includes lots of people in it. Are you sure we "all" flip to snow around noon?

NAM has most people with mix precip around noon with full snow flip for most the region after 3 PM.

Tell us how you really feel
In all seriousness - YES to Radarscope - probably the most widely used mobile radar app. It's great.
