remnants of zeta and potential first flakes for some areas

Recommended Posts

37, sleet and a few snow flakes mixing in not long ago in the Bronx. Driving a few miles to New Rochelle now and just light rain. I'm moving here now, right on the Sound so I'll see how that changes things.

Still mostly rain here but mixing in at times with sleet

it looks like the snow is winding down and the storm is starting to end here.

What is all that blue showing up on radar in NYC, Brooklyn, Queens and Western to Central Long Island- is it actually snowing in these places?

Some areas on the North Shore have reported snow.

I saw some mangled flakes here and had a period of mostly sleet with rain.

Wonderful morning. 1.4" new with ongoing light snow - more just up the hill from me, where roads turned slushy. I had my doubts early this morning when temps were holding steady in the upper 30, but the models handled the CAA and dynamic cooling well. I'll post some photos in a bit from my drive around northern Dutchess... there's a ton of foliage left, and I have no doubt power issues would be widespread with slightly higher snowfall totals.
