I predict that those storms are gonna fall apart after hitting the Chesapeake Bay rain shield.

Don't worry I just cleaned my rain gauge, that should protect the Easton area from rain.

Anyone seeing a hook on the Columbia storm?

I saw it, too. Glad we got some decent rain out of this.

0.65” of much needed rain.

Will round 2 reach me?

I've had about 3 events of ..

.02",.04",.05" the past couple weeks.  The near half inch today  definitely needed .

Every summer night should be like this

Just went for a walk; it’s like being in an amphitheater and all the spectators are thunderstorms. Lightning flashes all around and the thunder is a continuous growl with a few yelps.

Continuous lightning to my south with -80C cloud tops in that cell. heading NE

Major lightning show continuing and the cell is getting bigger along with backbuilding, another cell to the north as well which is gaining steam. I think I'm getting lucky tonight

10:35 PM edit: Shellacked. Heavy rain. lightning everywhere.

11:45 PM edit: Storms weakening substantially to my east. Strobe light show pretty much over. Tomorrow we rinse and repeat?

Only .33" for me but I'm not sure how right that is given my rain gauge on the VP2 got clogged.  Had to fix after the storm and afraid I lost some precip readings from that.

Is today the day for an old-fashioned N-S oriented long squall line? NAM stretches it from Albany to Richmond.

Models seem to be in agreement on timing earlier than some of the recent storms too - maybe 3-6pm crossing the area.

Check out LWX radar! Some big bird or bug colony left the top end of the Bay in Cecil County this morning.

0.35" from last evening's activity.  2.75" for July now, after 3.06" in June and 2.02" in May.  Looks like I have done fairly well considering some others' reports.

I had rolling thunder from 3:30-8:00 pm yesterday, and received a massive T. The roads didn't even get completely wet. At least 4 storms skirted by in about every direction.
