March 3-4, 2019 Snow Discussion and Obs

I usually think the CWG maps are lame and usually pretty conservative but, other than maybe being a little low up in Northern MD, unfortunately I think it's pretty good.

Snowing now at a decent clip.  White rain.  Not sure the flakes are even reaching the ground before melting.

Too lazy to stand up so you can see the ground?

Hey all, long-time lurker from the Accuweather days. Not even an amateur met, just a snow junkie. 36 with sporadic flurries here in central Frederick Co. MD. Might do some Jeeping in the Catoctins if this materializes.

35.6.  About an inch here with moderate to good rates and big fat flakes mixed with smaller ones. Already a cool storm imby at least.  Driveway and gravel roads starting to cave.

I’m at 39. Even a 6 degree temperature drop from Evap cooling in my opinion is asking for a lot down this way.

FWIW, I got about a 2 or 3 degree drop since it started snowing

Ugh. This is killing me. Models are all over the place regarding the boundary line. Still.

Deep down I think you know how this is going to unfold

Stop looking at the models. Look out your window when it starts and be happy if you get some snow at some point.
