One of the last vis shots of the day shows an area of clearing/thin high clouds moving east across NMD.  May be enough to get a little rad cooling as the sun goes down.  Every little bit counts to stay frozen as long as pos.

Montgomery County Public Schools and offices will be closed Wednesday, February 20, 2019 due to pending emergency weather conditions. All school and community activities in school buildings also are canceled tomorrow. All childcare centers located in school buildings will also be closed.

Best gfs run for central MD yet. Very ICON like for random or important reasons.

The NWS Active Alerts map looks insane... never seen so many counties under some sort of winter weather advisory/warning...

You know flood watches in the south are generally good

Wow, that looks terrific. Hopefully, this is the beginning of a trend heading into gametime.

GFS isn't that dissimilar to NAM..Maybe a slightly later flip as the 15z sounding is pounding snow...perhaps 11-12....best trend has been colder...28-29 is a lot better than 31-32

1-2 extra hours of snow would probably mean 1-3” inches extra of snow in this scenario with pounding precipitation possible from 10am-1pm

That 4-7 area wide looks good to me.  I expect north to do better.  They are north where it snows more.  Colder maybe more ice?  37/14
