Snowing pretty good near Park Road Shopping Center, but radar looks more impressive to SW/NE. Are a couple of the models showing 2-3 inches still to be believed? My fiance is trying to make a call on opening her store at noon or not at all. ETA: of the short range models, the RGEM looks to be matching up the closest with actual radar returns. Hopefully others are seeing that too, and I'm not just wishcasting. I would expect it to dry up over the next few hours in this area. Could be some light accumulations in the bursts but it’s going to be showery in nature and temps are on the warm side at the surface
BullCityWx Posted December 10, 2018 NAM holds with almost an INCH QPF for RDU/Durham/CH

My wife and daughter are itching to go shopping today and Park Road is on their agenda. They'll be headed out to whatever is open, so I'm guessing other folks will be too. CaryWx Posted December 10, 2018 WRAL calling for potential of 2-4 inches in Triangle until around lunch before changing back to rain and temps plummet after sundown. May see some more light snow tonight but not definite on that yet.
BG_Slick Posted December 10, 2018 Snowing in Lewisville for last 15 minutes. Big flakes but not much intensity here.
Freeze Posted December 10, 2018 Woke up at 7:15 to moderate to almost heavy snow and hasn't let up since. Temperature has been at 33 the whole time but have still managed to add an inch to yesterday's snow. If temp was a couple degrees colder then it would be 2" easily. All snow in downtown Raleigh now, it looks like.

Tarheel17 Posted December 10, 2018 Even if this storm was a lot more sleet than I wanted, at least Charlotte has had winter weather accumulate on 3 consecutive days by December 10th. Not sure if that has ever happened before.

mwp1023 Posted December 10, 2018 Just picked up a new 1" in North Durham county. Adding this to my foot from yesterday! Nice moderate snow coming down with no mixing and good size flakes.

SnowDeac Posted December 10, 2018 Looks like the heavier banding is indeed setting up from the triangle through Mooresville/Davidson or so. Still snowing good outside my office off Billy Graham/Tyvola and flakes really whipping in the wind at times.
warbler Posted December 10, 2018 just shy of 2" here this morning in chapel hill. heavy rates continue.
davenc Posted December 10, 2018 Snow of varying intensity still falling near CLT motor speedway. Probably winding down from here on out. Very nice way to end an otherwise sloppy overall event imby. Seems like Charlotte is overdue for one of those surprise 12"+ storms we get about twice a decade!!! A good 90 days left for that to happen!
Amos83 Posted December 10, 2018 snow has stopped at my house in Mooresville. Was nice watching it fall this morning.
