The bands keep materializing in western/central MA. Looks like north of the pike still has at least a couple hours of decent snow left. Prob a couple more inches. I'm thinking North Andover area gets 3.5-4in. We got about 2.5, same as Boston. Just north of those intense echoes on the south shore will prob see the most. A thin band of 5-8in maybe.

4.5" closing in on 5" as the last burst comes through. The snow is amazingly dry and fluffy for the time of year. Roads are snow covered and a mess. I saw someone go through a red light since he was going too fast and couldn't stop in time. People have forgotten how to drive in snow due to this winter's lack of snow.

Nice burst forming for BOS proper to the w

Looks like the precip hole west of ORH is closing up too...could be an especially nasty evening commute for BOS and metrowest if those stronger bands are rolling through in addition to obviously that southern zone getting hit.

See, you don't need that 2K plot in SVT. ;)  Although Woodford, VT reported 6.2" at 1230pm.

Just 2.5" here--yet the 2.5" is the biggest synoptic snowfall entire season...sad.

I'm guessing it's mid level forcing. If so, should snow for several more hours.

better snow burst, road quickly covered....several hours of this and we have a mid winter like snowstorm here, certainly a mid winter like day anyways

this is some of the coldest daytime snow i have seen in many years

of course I meant April, I have been keeping snowfall records for 31 winters........geez

OK....I only know of one other year that had snow in April with temps in the 20s (and that was upper 20s.  So in your records, when was the last time we had temperatures in the low-mid 20s and snow in April?
