Not sure how to describe it but we don't get the light-moderate, large precip shield type systems anymore. Also feel this is why forecasts have a difficult time pinpointing the winners and losers.

That's pretty typical in the warmer months, though, right?  That said, this has been one of the most humid summers that I can recall...certainly since those legendary summers of 2017 and 2018.  What we're really missing are those southern storms or even tropical remnants, but the overall base state airmass since spring implies we may get more of those this year.

Missed the afternoon stuff but got a very isolated morning downpour. .17” on the day and about .90” for the month. This is the first time all summer that my lawn looks stressed. I don’t know why it’s so difficult to get a good grass seed season around here.

I thought we were going to get dewpoints in the 50s by late afternoon - now it's onlyy for two or three hours in the overnight then it's right back up to tropical levels?? And day after day of miserable rain and increasing damp chill next week??

A 5 model blend now puts my rainfall at 2.11" for Monday - Wednesday. 

Just what the doctor orders. 

Hopefully, this will be the beginning of 6 months worth of moderate to heavy rainfall. 

 Augusta has a 10 - 12" deficit to recover since August 2025.
