NAM appears to have already busted too wet in CT through 15Z  ...

Just a quick eye-balling of rad trends over the morning hours, looks like primarily light right with a few moments in there of moderate have taken place thus far.  I can't imagine what's in the rain cans from that rad evolution, matches that plume of QPF the model painted moving through there over the same time - again...just a cursory look over.  So those justifying your d-drip highs, please don't be offended.

Everything you saiid there( I actually read it all due to the brevity ) Is true. It’s been light , steady with a quick burst of two minutes of moderate then back to light and at times nothing more than spits on the windshield. . A total boring meh event except NYC west and south .

.74 so far .

Everything I’ve seen suggests (at least for mby-eastern pike region) the rain moves in tonight and we heavy late into the first half of tomorrow.  I’m hopeful that is right because we’re way drier vs normal-like 50% ytd.

Was working in Taunton by route 44 all morning with off and on light rain. Just drove to a job in Brockton with dry roads and breaks in the clouds. Very sharp cut off for rain.

Few sprinkles this morning at home, but looking at the cam, looks like it’s dry now

This is excellent.  I don’t want/or need 7 plus inches of flooding garbage.  Steady soaking with more on the way through the day and overnight. We’ll be 3” here when it’s all wrapped up is my estimate.  And that’s perfect.

Grateful for the rain. No doubt. My area up thru BDL has missed all the storms and most rains since June 1. But I crave extremes and damage and when it as close as it was Saturday yet missed I was hoping for some kind of extreme rain event ,though I knew that wasn’t possible looking at this set up . Not CT anyway

Still a while to go, should be a widespread 2-5” across the state with isolated higher amounts. Already at 2” here just from today

But if you get 3-5” along the coast spread out over 2 days with no flooding .. that’s kind of boring. At least to me. Good for that kind of rain there , but many are not seeing those totals
