Thing is today is supposed to be much more widespread than yesterday as we have a clear trigger.

should be very interesting online here later today - hopefully news outlets will keep people updated because of how many people will be outdoors today - last night's storms were down right dangerous with the high winds.

They'll just wait for the storms to pass....

I doubt they will even do that because of TV schedules - but chances are there will not be anything severe over that particular area of the Hudson at the exact time the fireworks are scheduled

The timing is pretty late though. Both HRRR and NAM3km don't have storms hitting our area until 9 or 10pm. Looks ok for late afternoon cookouts but it will be a close call for fireworks here. Hoping to get them in before storms hit.

92/72 heat index at 100 already. The breeze makes it feel alright in the shade

its not too bad if you are sitting drinking water but once you start walking around it feels like a sauna - no messages yet from SPC about any possible watches as of noon - also yesterday the temp here dropped from 102 to 72  after the storm - expect something similar today later - yeterday"s Watch was released at 3:25 PM
