Pleasant surprise to see rain this am!  Will take every drop....radar looks much better than I expected!!!

A true, old-fashioned soaker this morning. The radar, to my delight, looks like a traffic signal. So far, 1.29" of rain has fallen with ongoing storm intensity of around an inch per hour. With the wind advisory kicking in soon, I hope any tree damage is minimal.

A trace so far.  The line out by Davis is looking more robust that the models have it, so maybe it can power through to give us at least a little rain.

I saw the cloudy sky and looked at radar -- congrats northern MD!  Maybe I'll luck into a t-storm later today.  I'm hoping next Monday turns into a real soaker.

Wow! I haven't seen any weather since sleetfest. It sounds fun out there. Just super exciting drought here. I'm waiting in anticipation for the dark red on the drought map to move north a little bit. It's as fun as sitting in traffic on the beltway on a Saturday. I can't wait until the first LES chase this fall.

I blame you... you were all gung ho when you were getting storms and the north was missing out.  Believe me though... I rather have snow than rain.

You're totally correct. I ran my mouth and cursed the lowlands. This winter will be a parade of storms that crush north of 70 while I get a wintery mix and 33 lol.

Clouds and no rain basically killed the chance for storms later.  Looks like that storm Monday stays north. I'm getting worried mandatory water restrictions are coming. Sucks when you make a living using water lol

Extreme drought, woohoo.   I wish there was some way to make electricity via dry soil.  I'd be printing money.

That blob over West Virginia looks promising.  But there seems to be some forcefield east of the Potomac that destroys precip as it moves across the river.
