Left the mountains this morning following the evening thunderstorm...it was 74F, it smelled fresh, moss and lichens covered all the boulders, green fields everywhere.

Got down to the beltway and it read 96F, grass was brown, winds were Santa ana, expected to see gopher tortoises and burrowing owls, even tumbleweeds.  It truly is an armpit of weather down here lately.

Partly sunny few passing cumulus with a nice SE breeze, only 88 degrees out but that damned dewpoint is 78 degrees.

The last time we started averaging upper 70s dews this early was one hell of a WET year: 2021.

That Nino is gonnabe downright Brobdingnagian.

You can take that to the Bank.

10 out of 10 so far this month! I wish it could be like this till October.

My ideal climate would probably be summer from May to September, then 2 months of October, then Dec/Jan/Feb, and 2 months of April.

Not a cloud in the sky and hot AF here.

I see i went from 70% chance last night of rain Wed to now 60% and a degree got tacked onto both Thur and Fri high temps.  Things never change out here.

I think it may be time to move for your mental health.

Look at this "yard" and long hot dry summer is just getting started.  I could probably just put my mower away for the season.  Sunny and 75 (that's the good part!)

Calvert County soils appear to be the direst west of the Bay. 0.01" water content in Lusby!
