Happy husband appreciation day everyone. Just letting everyone know so your loved one doesn’t inform you about it until 10pm.

Do the Hallmark cards for this include To Do lists on the inside?

Its been brutal the last 2-3 days. 40s and 50s with little to no sun.

Oh dam…that sucks.  Feel for you. We had a July week here with upper 80’s and Thursday hit 90.  Yesterday was gorgeous too with upper 70’s.   62 now with clouds…high is forecast close to 70 today.

Interesting heat island effect around NYC as the mank tries to push west. Very cool watching it in motion. https://weather.cod.edu/satrad/?parms=local-New_Jersey-02-24-1-100-1&checked=map&colorbar=undefined

I think there’s better mixing over the land which is helping to dry out the low levels and limit the easterly mank trying to advect in. That’s why you have the cloud line straddling the NJ shore too. But basically there’s enough land that makes up Long Island that the further west you get the more you’re able to take a bite out of that stratus.

How come that didn’t happen here…there’s a lot of land from eastern mass to my area..and the clouds got us anyway.  Go 20 miles west of here and it’s clear.

There's deeper low level moisture up here...not much dry air to mix down and dissipate the stratus.
