Making another little push west with the good stuff….almost back to pure whiteout here. We had briefly gone to perhaps borderline moderate snow but now can’t see 3 houses away…just puking snow

The meat of that band has to be like 4” per hour

I'm right at the edge of the western edge of the death band, and the winds are really howling.  Maybe the strongest so far.

I’d better not hear any complaints from him for the next 5 years this is literally his dream storm and he’s home for it

a town plow just came down the road pushing a 5+ foot wall of snow. It took 6 passes to clear the street. Wall of snow at the end of my driveway at least 4 feet high. Going be fun to run the snow blower through that. My front picket fence is 3 feet tall and the snow drift is a foot over that!

Not as deep as the 30" 2013 storm where the town had to use a payloader on our road because the plow couldn't push it.

What do you consider average around here? Something like 45"-50"?

Yes....news swears its slightly over 50 at cef but I have kept records the 21 years I have lived here and I don't average 50 across those years with all the "big" winters in the 2010s. I am 3 mi from CT border. Most I measured was 71 inches 10-11, worst was kind of tied for a bunch in the very low 20s.

21 year average 43 inches, I keep thinking were due for a couple good storms or seasons to get us back towards 50.
