You got any experience with how they plow out Milford? I’ve been eyeing it this morning. Or any of our DE folks. Hoping I could maybe get out Tuesday evening but ideally Monday lol

Plows took forever to clear the roads here from the last storm. Downright snowcrete was breaking plows.

Milford diner is a good place to eat if you stop by. or the magnolia restaurant in magnolia.

I feel like DelDOT is probably more on the ball for this one given the hype and their performance in the last one

Dude just go to Rehoboth. There will be plenty of snow there, and actually places to go for good food and drinkies. You will get great shots and vids walking down Rehoboth Ave to the beach. And ofc right at the beach. I'm telling ya. Book it and go now.

This! If anything the coast is probably more likely to verify the blizzard conditions

Just go to Salisbury.  They're under a blizzard warning too. Rt 50 will be cleared first.

Also not a bad idea, 50 would definitely get cleared 1st

This. Rehoboth or Dewey are both fine. The Hyatt place in Dewey has rooms for $133 and it’s right across the street from the beach, walking distance to Dewey beer, other food options, and a 5 min drive to the rehoboth boardwalk.

True, but I doubt you'd be able to make that 5 minute drive to Rehoboth during the storm unless you have 4WD

They'll be better suited in that area compared to the coast. The coastal areas in Sussex will be awhile before they can go anywhere. My parents are in that area and I'm not expecting them to be able to move till Tuesday.

yep, I'm anticipating a closure or work from home tomorrow and Tuesday..

I made it up to Gambrills Park. It's full on winter up here. My truck is reading 34 at about 1200'. There's about 2" otg and snowing lightly. The roads are also covered up here. I'm headed up even higher. I'll report back.

The way things are looking on guidance, he could just stay home and get crushed by Norlun. Wont last as long but it should be very impressive.

Quick question should my wetbulb temp be35.5? Just seems a bit high

Air is already saturated, so not much evaporative cooling available…our cold air will be CAA and driven down from up top in high rates

Before getting too excited/disappointed about the norlun placement, I want to reiterate that we won’t know where it sets up until it does set up. If you’re looking out and getting crushed under dark greens on radar, that’s when you’ll know (and those outside looking in will also know).

those 1.5-2" rates are RIGHT over my house :snowing:

With your previously stated 400 ft of elevation, you must be near Tysons.  It's the only place in McLean with that much elevation.  FYI - the communications tower at 123 and 7 is the highest spot in FFCo except for the land fill at the I-66 transfer station at FFCo Pkwy - It is the highest spot in the county.  We're 375' ASL here just NW of Vienna, and just far enough away from the Tysons concrete jungle that we often get a little more sn because of the lower impact of the Tysons heat island.  If that band sets up as currently projected, we'll be in business up through MOCO and down to Spfld.
