ThePhotoGuy
Thick fog over the Chesapeake Bay this afternoon. Car temp (I know not most reliable) was reading low-mid 40s and when I got to Ritchie Highway, the temp jumped to low-mid 50s. 10 degree warmup away from the water.
Mrs.J
Had a decent fog a bit ago but it has cleared it out. That being said it has gotten breezy out and saw others talking about the temp rise. Checked my app graph for my station. You all were not kidding on the temp rise in a short time.

Glanced at my weather station and it said 55 degrees - I SWORE it showed 40 the last time I looked (when I got home around 730pm.) So I checked and sure enough, rose 15 degrees in less than an hour, after dark! I have another station at the farm a few miles away and it also showed a 15 degree jump. Was it accompanied with any winds? My first guess from seeing the dew point crash would be some Chinook wind from downsloping. Are you near a mountain too? I was hiking Old rag today and the wind at the top was strong enough to nearly lift me and as I descended down around 6pm I could feel pulses of warm air come down from up top.
The Dude
Having a similar temp spike here. Was at 43 an hour or so ago, and has spiked to 51.5 and still rising.
The Dude
Frederick spiked from 34 at 9:35 to 50 at 10:15 with a wind shift from the west. Leesburg went from 43 to 54 in 20 minutes from 9:15 to 9:35. I'm guessing it's downsloping?

Yup I’m near the Blue Ridge mtns in Middleburg, not sure that’s close enough to have that impact though. The winds definitely jumped with the temp and dew point change, but the direction didn’t much (possible SW to WNW.) 14 deg temp change, 25 deg dew point change!

Kay
51 and partly sunny. Since I haven't updated on river ice in a while, there is still full ice coverage on the Bush River near my location as far as I can see. Melt is most definitely on ofc. According to the Nat'l Ice Center mid-Atlantic chart, the western shore tributaries north of Balt were 70-99% ice covered, with few small more melted spots - as of yesterday (chart still the latest).

Bubbler86
Some fairly rare NE to SW upslope action in Pen-Mar this AM. Putting down a fresh coating.
katabatic
Added another 3.5" to the tally last night for a total in the last 48 hours of 14.5". A local observation had 3.8" with only 0.09" QPF, giving a 42:1 SLR so it's obviously massless fluff. Still pretty tho and Wisp is back into good shape. Looking for another 3-5" tonight with the WWA hoisted so a nice snowy stretch as we approach meteorological spring.
