I thought so too.  I lived in an area very hard hit and was without power for about a week after that ice storm in Worc county.  Had to drive out first thing that next morning, and I was driving over small trees.  Glad I had a Jeep back then.  My CRV wouldn't have made it.

Really fine powder here, and it's warmest we've been all storm at 7F.  Coming down really heavy and visibility is less than 1/2 mile...but slow to put on inches.  Maybe 8" total, eyeballing it.

Eyeballing 10-12" (hard to get a good measurement spot) as of 5:45. Wind has really picked up, visibility is lowest it has been. Based on shoveled spots looks like 1.5+"/hr rates.

OMG I’M SO HAPPY!!  I KNEW it I Knew It I Knew it!  SWFE’s ALWAYS do this to Northern RI!  You guys Always say “You’re safe, it won’t get there.” and Sure Enough before I’m even at 8”/10”, it goes to crap.  Every Time.  

I have snow reports from people in Cumberland, Coventry, Burrillville, North Providence, and Middletown and they are all still moderate to heavy snow.  Obviously I can't discount your report, but whomever that person is getting sleet in Northern RI is extremely unlucky.  It would also be the farthest northern sleet report at the moment...
