I just keep musing tongue-in-cheek over how 6 days ago, we were looking at this continental mauler storm affecitng everywhere but here...  Then, 6 days later... while it certainly is affecting a lot of the country, it actually appears to want to max where it was 0, six days ago - squarely right here in SNE

that's an interesting model saga

Apologies for asking what sounds like a dumb question, but I hurt my back just over a week ago, and currently walking is extremely painful for me, so just walking downstairs and out the door to check directly would be a bit too agonizing for me to contemplate doing right now.

Is this snow currently 'light and fluffy' or 'heavy and packed'? Is that expected to change over the course of this storm?

I'm in mid-Litchfield County CT, if that may matter.

Can’t believe this was modeled to be way south just a few days ago.

The Ai models had a better clue with the strength of the Baja low, but I think as we got closer we got better sampling of the northern stream that was diving over the ridge. Eventually it was obvious the phase was going to happen and suppression was out the window.

Friend of mine flew up to Needham to chase, wish I was out near you guys right now. Enjoy

If anyone recalls, as soon as I saw the setup I became pretty confident of a biggie.

It is all over CT. Rates right now are insane. Can barely see across street

Not my point JR, the highest totals aren’t going to be over Tolland, they will be NE in f you towards Ray; am I wrong

Looks like Philadelphia has changed over.

I’m in Bensalem right NE of the city and we had a heavy band just come through which was puking snow, now pingers mixing in. I have 6+ here, with sleet I’ll probably finish close to 8, there’s just no way most of MA doesn’t end up with 20-24” with spotty +2’

Strange. I'm just watching wtnh doing a live update... He's just talking about the storm gathering strength in the Gulf then eventually transferring to one off of Cape Hatteras.... But isn't the storm already taking shape off of Cape Hatteras as we speak? Just strange how they didn't mention that LOL.

What I'm waiting for now is some thunder snow. Let's bring it on!!
