Pretty loaded look though with all that moisture. Verbatim this would be snow on the mean for the region with the colder air in place. But the real question is what is this storm’s name? nw baltimore wx
I find it a little funny how much we bash the gfs and then are hyper focused on every run 150+ hours out.

It’s the Washington wizards of weather. If you are a fan you keep watching because they add something and call it improved but it’s last in the league from 3 point range
Maestrobjwa
6 weenies for just that?? Y'all are weird. Out of all the doom posts and complaints, somehow or another all I gotta do is complain a little one time and suddenly it's the worst post ever? Nah that's a y'all problem not mine. We are all snow-obssesed here and have weenie hopes AND fears and express them here. And as long as complaints are not incessant, it should be fine. I note the AFDs have a new format with "keypoints" rather than being organized strictly chronologically. Wonder why they decided to screw around with it. 1 hour ago, yoda said: I actually like the new format. I think its better. Seems like its a new thing across the WFOs I like the new format highlighting Key Messages, but I'm not sure how I feel about it not being necessarily chronological. They seem to have made the decision to start with most impactful within each forecast period in the discussion, regardless of chronology. Hm. Here's the announcement, published Tues: https://partnerservices.nws.noaa.gov/products/cache/357-2025/PNSLWX/d70a3efb41e0bd9e7ac6a50c1cc432fc

They want to have the most impactful upfront as the headliner with chronological reasoning in the discussion itself. The Key Message portion is a request through feedback as the BLUF statements are good for messaging awareness and what to prepare for in the IDSS realm. A lot of thought and feedback went into this change.

It seems that any changes are always well thought out and include feedback. Hope my initial reaction didn't imply I doubted that process occurred. Far from the case. Hang on...I have to add that I was talking about the discussion itself, not the Key Message portion...aaand this morning's disco WAS organized by key message and started with Monday/Mon night then went into tonight through Sun night (see Previous Version). The Current Version is chronological within the discussion. Tonight through Sun night, then early next week! This makes more sense, to me anyway, and was changed in the 2 pm update!
