Just imagine the most intense squall you've ever seen. Add 2-3" per hour to that and make it last 7 hours and drop 40" of snow. That's a squall lol. That what I experienced last week. A shower of mix precip just moved through the lowlands. You won't steal my joy!
RickinBaltimore Posted yesterday at 07:29 PM Share Posted yesterday at 07:29 PM There's definitely something starting to move in now, dark clouds overhead and the wind has really picked up in the past few minutes

EastCoast NPZ Posted yesterday at 10:04 PM Share Posted yesterday at 10:04 PM We had a solid dusting earlier when the 5-minute squall came through. Mix of heavy graupel and snow. The wind has been ridiculous today. My Xmas tree is on the curb and twice now i've had to chase it more than a block up the street. I finally gave up and put it in the garage.
Mrs.J Posted yesterday at 10:04 PM Share Posted yesterday at 10:04 PM And we are back to cold and wind. That warm spell while enjoying the warmer temps did not help. Just got diagnosed with Bronchitis as a secondary infection from a Sinus Infection. Happy that my doctors office has weekend walk in hours. And glad it was not the Flu.
wxdude64 Posted yesterday at 10:11 PM Share Posted yesterday at 10:11 PM Two separate 5 minute squalls came thru here today, one at noon, other around 2:30 pm. Both coated everything then done, but pretty as it fell. Currently 30.3/14.5 at 5 pm with W 12 gusting 22 winds. That is one thing we haven't missed on, gusts between 30-40 mph all day. Really does feel like cold wind is our weather most days in the winter, spring, and fall. I at least finally figured out how to keep my very heavy deck furniture from going sliding across the deck. Bummer about the bronchitis. Is that something that just needs time to resolve? We have the flu in my house and as you might guess, it's quite unpleasant. Sooooo fatigued.

I have heard it is bad this year. As for the Bronchitis I am on a multitude of meds. Got a Z Pak on board, pills to curb my coughing and an Inhaler. Back in my college days I had my first bout of it and it was bad. On the day of my graduation I had to carry a spit cup with me for when I had stuff come up. Once you have it you are more likely to get it. I know the signs so I did catch this bout early. But have not slept for 3 days as I cannot lay down without coughing. You need to catch it early so it does not go into Pneumonia. The Z Pak has already made a difference. Should be ok in a week.

Legit cold, OPs throwing out consistent hits (some historic) in the long range, great snow/precip means, etc. Don't see what isn't to like. If any the Euro would be more believable. My long range forecast for Felton Delaware is warm and rainy no snow. My forecast for the farm by Eagles Mere is cold and snowy showers. Accurate will be within 3 days
