Real weenies know to play old TWC music from good winters of yore while watching models come in. It's the real magic.

As a kid I used to tune into TWC at 20min after the hour every hour in winter because that's when they did the 7day forecast.  Those were the halcyon days of weather forecasting.

My parents thought I was autistic or something when I only wanted to watch TWC instead of cartoons.  Lol

50 past the hour.  I’d set my day to it.

Wild Guess: NWS just modified the winter weather advisory for DC and I-95 south. Wonder if they're going warnings for Carroll, NW Baltimore, and NW Harford?

It’s the same

SUNDAY... * WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 1 and 3 inches. Localized totals of 4 to 5 inches are possible, especially across Baltimore and northeastern Maryland.

Yeah it looks like a timing change. That’s the only difference I found

3:30 pm was when Mt. Holly would push their products. You always wanted to see the crawl on the lower third go "...WINTER STORM WARNING FOR THE GREATER DELAWARE VALLEY..." Pure magic.

This was me before cable. This plus reg radio, and trying to switch between the three local news stations at about 20 past 6 or 11 so I could catch channel 3, 8 and 30 weather forecasts in CT.

I remember calling the weather line. My parents would get pissed because it wasn't free. I'd be calling it 10 times a day for updates lol. I had the same weather radio lol

I tried to find a pic of my late 70s Bearcat weather radio - it was off white with an orange on/off button.  That's all I had, along with local news and 936-1212 LOL

I'm getting more hopeful for the snow with latest models.  Let's keep the good trends going and fill that gap in the western part of our forum!

936-1212 lol. The ink was worn off the buttons on our kitchen phone hahaha. When snow was in the forecast I would burn it up late afternoon waiting for the update. Great memories that few can relate to outside of this forum.

I'm pullin for you folks up north. It's a tricky setup but I really hope it comes through and swipes the metros with a satisfying snowfall. Nature's Xanax and things like that :snowwindow:

RRFS is a dud for Virginia but looks good north of Baltimore.

It still gives me about 1.5” imby, so if that’s the “worst” model, I’ll take. Happy to see balt corridor get the jack this time though
