Light snow started. 
Won’t be around for Xmas but I’d love to see all of New England have a white Xmas for once!

Greta says that because of civilization-ending global warming, the Grinch is coming a week earlier this year.  At night no less. And if we don't act now, within 12 year he'll be coming by Thanksgiving.

The GFS definitely expands the NNE morale to the rest of the region. Fingers crossed!

I don't trust the GFS. I'm not sure how well it's been doing lately. And long range, wasn't it showing a torch for Christmas. And now it seems to be catching up to the Euro ( or did I get that wrong? )

Hope it comes to true. If it would hold, it would save not just potentially Christmas, but also December in general.

I don’t trust ANY model. Cool as it would be, I think the reality is that the atmosphere is far too complex for any model to have a clue past a couple of days out. It’s fun to watch them but I never put any trust into anything more than a few days out.

I had no doubt it was coming even up here, right now looks like the weenie 1 inch QPF band will be directly over our heads, hopefully we can trend that down to 0.5 inches and our pack will be intact come Saturday.

Doesn’t look that warm for very long.  A decent pack will soak it up and solidify it.

Stronger Arctic blocking would make a big difference as gradient patterns like this can be very active

Still same general look on ensembles.. Ops were cold and dry for GFS and mild and rainy for Euro..
